Some things to smile about....2017

"Good luck to the LSU Baseball Team as they take on Florida in the College World Series Championship!"

We recently celebrated Red Nose Day on May 25th. The fundraiser supports projects that ensure kids are safe, healthy, educated, and empowered. Red Nose Day funds programs in all 50 states and in some of the poorest communities in Latin America, Asia, and Africa. We hope you consider supporting the cause!

Drs. Gizelle and Gabrielle Richard participated in the annual Dentist's Day at the Louisiana Legislature in Baton Rouge. They lobbied on behalf of Louisiana Dental Membership and LSU Health Sciences Center School of Dentistry. Congratulations to Dr. Gizelle Richard on being named the new Chairman of the Governmental Affairs Committee!

Molly and Sissy with speaker, Rachel Wall, RDH (center). She packed the room with a dynamite full-day lecture!

Dr. Gabrielle won a $100 voucher to use on the exhibit floor! Unfortunately, she's not taking home the car behind her!!

We had a great time at the New Orleans Dental Conference and Louisiana Dental Association Annual Session in April! The speakers were fantastic, and the camaraderie amongst our dental professionals couldn't be beat. Dr. Gizelle Richard served as Scientific Support Chair for this year's dental conference. Thank you for your hard work and commitment to our profession, Dr. Gizelle!

Every year the Louisiana Dental Association presents the Star Award to a select few of their statewide membership who have been very involved with and available to the LDA in supporting the projects and goals of the Association. Our Dr. Gizellle Richard was one of those chosen few to receive this award. The presentation took place at Chicory’s during the New Orleans Dental Conference. Are we proud of her? Are we thrilled for her? You bet we are….in spades! We absolutely love working every day with a STAR!

Dr. Gabrielle Richard, an alumna of St. Mary's Dominican High School in New Orleans, spoke to the students recently about her own career path to Dentistry. The girls asked FANTASTIC questions and were inspired! I think we have some future female dentists in this room!   Gotta love the thought of that!!

We are at one of our favorite places to learn about new trends in our profession and mingle with colleagues, the CRESCENT CITY STUDY CLUB.  The lecture was “The Motivated Mind-set”…now that title alone will get you off your duff!

The presentation was focused on team self-motivation and creating the very best power-house team possible for the patients we serve and our practice. Come by and see how we’re doing!!

What a great ski trip for Drs. Gizelle & Gabrielle Richard. They completed 3 days of continuing education in Park City! Special thanks to Louisiana Dental Membership for the planning!

One thing is for sure, we have a fabulously fun time together in this office! Laissez les bon temps rouler!

Happy Mardi Gras everbody! Throw me somethin' Mista!!

What a great way to start the New Year! My first patient of the year is my sister...doesn't she have a dynamite smile? We say YES!

Dr. Gabrielle Richard & Molly Glennon, RDH recently spoke to the 1st & 2nd graders of St. George's Episcopal School, New Orleans about oral health! Dr. Gabrielle first read a fun book describing what a trip to the dentist is like. She and Molly then played a nutrition game aimed at teaching the basics of good nutrition and how what you eat affects your teeth. We ended with lessons on the “hows and whens” of brushing teeth, what floss is for and how to use it. The kids were great listeners and learners! Thank you St George’s for letting us spend time with your precious students. Perhaps we have a future dentist or hygienist among them!!

We like to stay on top of things around here! And one of those things is staying current with CPR
(Cardio-Pulmonary-Resuscitation) training which comes around every two years. Like good Girl Scouts,
we are prepared!

We had a blast at work on Halloween........... and our patients did too!

In September we participated in a weekend for giving back to the community. Dr. Gizelle Richard, Dr. Gabrielle Richard, & Molly Glennon, RDH delivered free dental care to those in need at the Louisiana Mission of Mercy brought to you by the Louisiana Dental Association.  Dr. Gizelle Richard served as this year's Local Chair for the event.  Preliminary numbers for the LDA Foundation's LaMOM show 1,534 patient visits and $1,067,760.35 worth of free dental care performed over two days. What an incredible experience!!  A beautiful smile spreads boundless joy.

We are so very excited about the unveiling of our sign with Dr. Gabrielle Richard's name added to it!  Now, how do you like our mother-daughter dentist team up in lights? We think it's pretty darn cool!  Stop by and meet our stars!

Congratulations to Carolyn Guidry, Certified Dental Assistant, who has been active in the dental profession as a CDA for 25 years. Thank you, Carolyn, for your gifts and talents that you so generously have given to us and to the profession we love! Now imagine being taken care of by this dynamic duo, Dr. Richard and Carolyn, who have combined 56 years of dental experience and wisdom.  How great is that!
